Sasha + Dino’s hot hot Summer wedding in Milton Keynes was definitely one to remember. It honestly felt at points like we were all at a destination wedding in Spain only we were right next door to our house. The Hotel La Tour, situated in the heart of Milton Keynes opened their doors back in April 2022. The 14 storey hotel sits overlooking the green fields of Campbell Park and has grown in popularity ever since they opened. Sasha + Dino chose to have their ceremony on the outside terrace, a BBQ catered for by the hotel and the evening music entertainment was performed by Tru Groove. Being a wedding photographer at Hotel La Tour felt exciting. We got to view places we go to everyday in a totally new way, like when we took Sasha + Dino over to MK Gallery to use their beautiful vibrant external walls for some couples portraits.
A calm, steady morning to start the day
Sasha has to be one of the most chilled brides we have ever met! Sasha and her girls got ready in the bridal suite at Hotel La Tour where they all had a giggle, got their hair done and was later met by Sasha’s children - wholesome family vibes all-round. Dino spent the morning up at Fourteen Sky Bar, nervously watching the football as the realisation of what was happening started to sink in.
The outside foyer and large windows made for a great opportunity to get a simple and stunning wedding dress shot and the morning allowed us to soak in the atmosphere of the hotel and scout all of the best spots that we felt we might want to use through the day.
An intimate ceremony on the outside terrace
The outside terrace at Hotel La Tour offers a private space that feels open and hidden at the same time. It blends in nicely with the contemporary architecture of the hotel and gives proper cosmopolitan city vibes. Attached is a function room where wedding breakfasts and entertainment can be held and it is also very separate to the rest of the hotel. Sasha + Dino kept their theming modern and minimal. Their flower arch was supplied by Acorn + Oak Weddings & Events, a local supplier in Milton Keynes who also offers full design and wedding co-ordination services too.
The registrar-led ceremony was just perfect. Sasha + Dino made sure to have some fun - breaking down in hysterics when an insanely loud motorbike roared past Hotel La Tour disrupting a really intimate and sensitive part to the ceremony. They did not take themselves too seriously and weren’t afraid to make sure they enjoyed their wedding day, so our kinda people!
